THE COMMAND- CHARGE PIKES-
Pike held in armpit like a lance, right hand tucked in tight, left hand close to body
and held over the pike to hold it down on impact. At the command CHARGE everyone trots
forward with pikes level.
THE COMMAND- DRAG PIKES-
It is seldom necessary to actually give this command. The pike is held near the point
and dragged. Exhausted troops on long marches or burdened with loot usually decide to wield
their pikes in this manner on their own. When allowed this makes for extremely long formations.
